Mustang County

i love it
ANY JOEL MCRAE FAN WOULD WANT THIS DVD. IT'S HIS LAST FILM AND HE PORTRAYS THE GREAT STEADY WESTERNER AS HE ALWAYS DID.

Beautifully filmed family film
I first saw this on the late movie sometime during the late seventies and never saw it playing or mentioned again. I was surprised to find it on Amazon and ordered a copy. I really had no memories of it other than it had a lot of nature footage and I had been entertained by it. Now, seeing it again after almost 35 years, I still find it pleasantly entertaining. It's not a real western (there is only one gun shot in the entire movie). You will be disappointed if that is what you're expecting. It's more like something from The Wonderful World Of Disney. It includes very high production values, and a beautiful musical score composed and performed by many of the same talented individuals who worked closely with the late singer John Denver during his mid-70s heyday.

Filmed in Alberta in 1975 and released by Universal Pictures in U.S. theaters in March 1976, I consider this film a treasured all-time favorite. Having waited decades for its re-release in any format (it never appeared on VHS), I purchased three copies of the DVD immediately when it became available, and intend to buy...
